Enhanced AWI Practitioner training

OVERVIEWOUR TRAINERREGISTER TO ATTENDVENUESTESTIMONIALS
OUTLINE
The AWI Masterclasses we delivered with Sandra McDonald in 2019 were hugely successful, with delegates awarding performance scores for the events averaging 92/100. However as a next step, delegates suggested they would like more time to put the learning into practice; to explore case studies and to undertake small group work focusing on some of the key themes.

As a result, we have developed a stand-alone Enhanced AWI Practitioner course for 2020 which offers delegates this very opportunity. The course has been designed to work for health & social care professionals, advocates, third sector practitioners and family law solicitors experienced in dealing with Adults with Incapacity (AwI) legislation (note: you do not need to have attended our 2019 series, to join this course).

AGENDA

This session assumes a basic knowledge of relevant AWI matters but offers a high-level reminder of these as a platform for the advanced learning that will follow.
An overview of the legal background, including any updates from the mental health review. The session will include a case study and opportunity for group work to practice capacity assessing.
This session uses real cases to consider the common challenges, with hints and tips for effective use and a surgery’ on overcoming challenges.
There will be an overview of the legal background, with the majority of the session to be spent on a case study, to consider how this operates in practice.

RELATED AWI TRAINING
For our 2020 AWI Masterclass series, we are focusing on the core themes you wanted to learn more about; as well as offering greater time to put the learning into practice, including more case studies and small group work.

The core topics for our 2020 AWI training series are…
