Having explored common fears and anxieties that can raise the stakes in a Board environment, in this video class Margaret focuses in on the shadow human behaviours that are triggered when the stakes are high and rising.

Margaret referenced a quote by Carl Jung – “Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to a better understanding of ourselves”. Our high stakes behaviours, including the shadow behaviours we adopt, are always a function of our inner dialogue. In the next class, Margaret introduces a tool that can be used to better understand our own beliefs / behaviours and where they come from, the Ladder of inference.
