Exploring our Moral Postures

Having explored your tolerance for difference at the end of the previous session, here Margaret considers what happens when we are faced with someone who is very different from us – how we tend to adopt a particular moral posture or stance towards them and how this can lead us to impulsive actions and/or reactions when the stakes rise.

Key themes

  • In ‘high stakes’ our tolerance for difference is challenged
  • Kantor’s Moral Postures
  • The Prosecutor
  • The Adjudicator
  • The Advocate
